The Care Pharmacy have published a comprehensive guide on how to use the Mounjaro kwikpen, you can also view the guide from the manufacturer – Eli Lilly.

Extra needles – 32g, 4mm

Sometimes you get given 1-2 spares, and sometimes the ones you get are defective – some other companies only supply the pen. To combat either issue, you get a box of 100 fairly cheap so it’s always handy to have spares.

Insulin needles

I like to have these on back-up, in case the pen doesn’t work normally for whatever reason. You can get them from most pharmacies (just ask for 6mm or 8mm, 1ml insulin needles), or you can get them online.

Pre-injection wipes

As above, sometimes you get them, sometimes you don’t, but either way it’s less than £5 for a box of 100 so better to have some spares.

Available on Amazon UK

Sharps bin

If you’re given one, at some point it’ll get full – or misplaced – so for safety I always keep a spare!

Insulated pen storage

Although don’t need to keep it cold once open – I prefer to. To keep it neat and tidy in the fridge door, I pop mine alongside the needles and wipes in a storage bag. There’s a better one in my TikTok showcase (linked here) for £3.99, but you can also get them on Amazon.
